When you run System Gate, you will see a small Lock icon in the System Notification
area: |
You can access context menu by right clicking on the System Gate icon: |
There you can change access password or exit the System Gate. |
Double click the icon to load the main form: |
There are two tabs: “Permitted Programs” and “Blocked Programs”: |
"Permitted Programs" tab will list all the programs you have installed
in your system. |
Unlike Task Manager, the System Gate will show detailed information about programs
installed on your computer. Examples: Program system name, Path (where the executable
file was installed), Description (shows brief program description provided by software
manufacturer), Company name and process ID: |
"Blocked Programs" tab shows all programs System Gate will block on your
behalf: |
You can tell System Gate to show only currently running programs, all programs or
to show installed but not currently active programs by selecting the corresponding
filter option: |
To protect your system, the System Gate hides all files that needed by Windows to
operate properly. If you are an advanced user and need to see System files, you
can uncheck "Hide system processes" box: |
Select the program(s) from the "Active Programs" list by clicking on the check box
"Block" or add any program to "Black List" manually by browsing your computer: |
Press the "Apply" button. The selected programs will be blocked. You can see all
blocked programs in the "Black List" tab now. |
To cancel a program blocking, remove selected program(s) from the “Black List”.
To do so, go to “Black List” tab, find the program you would like to exclude from
the black list and uncheck “Block” checkbox. Press “Apply” button. You can run the
program now. |
